Welcome to another episode of the Power Walk, where I'm going to be brief today because my body is tired and I just want to just share with the folks that might not know. But dealing with heart failure and having a pacemaker, you have your ebbs and flows and your highs and lows, and sometimes your body is just fatigued. And I would always want to push through when my body was fatigued and ignore the messages that my body is giving me. And then something drastic would happen where it would take so much longer to recover because I was ignoring the signs and not being intentional with my body.
So I'm doing a light walk today, and then I'm gonna go home, take a shower, decompress for a little bit, and then work.
My work schedule has changed, going back to the States, being here, so a lot of my work is done at night.
And so I didn't finish working until about 5am I slept during the day.
I got up because I was coordinating a photo shoot for a law firm that I am the director of marketing of. And I'm proud to report that even though I was not there physically, everything was smooth and done with intention. And I'm very blessed and grateful to be able to have that impact.
And for those of you that have a business that need support, that need help, that need to talk through your systems, on the last Power Walk episode, I talked about my vision clarity sessions. And I'm going to continue to uplift this offering because it's a really good offering. And I have a lot of people that can give you a testimonial of how they walked in the session and how they walked out. I have this mantra that I love to lead people better than how I found them.
And some people I got a stick stuck in my shoe, okay? When folks come to me, they're usually tired, they've worked all day, and they're really trying to strategize their business, their next steps, their organization, the growth.
And I have a very good way of asking questions and unpacking the things. And I'll just give you a hint, a spoiler alert that a lot of the times when my clients come in, they already have the answers.
They already know because it's their vision.
They know because they are one of one. But they need a safe space and the right questions and someone to truly listen with intention, to really bring it out and to really come with the clarity and then tying it up to having an accountability partner so that you're not just saying what sounds good, but you have an accountability partner to make sure that you're doing what you say you gonna do. And that's what success looks like. At least that's what it looks like to me. And I've been able to help so many people in that way.
And again, you can go to my website and see that book sometime on the calendar and be ready. Be distraction free. Close out autumn tabs that you got on your computer. I had a session with a person the other day and they had so many tabs up and they were telling me that they were trying to like get over to Google Meet and navigate to where I was telling them to go. And they said, oh my gosh, I have so many tabs up. And I said to them, I said, and you have all these tabs up, thinking that your brain processes things like this too.
Your brain has so many different tabs that you got set up, and sometimes you got to close those tabs and just focus and lock in, and you gonna know what works best for your brain. I know what works best for me, and that is me being intentional with it.
But had I not been intentional with it and truly thought about the way that I think and how my brain processes information, I would have never taken the consideration that I needed to to ensure that I am processing things the way that makes sense for me and that I'm honoring my brain in its capacity, in its boundaries and bandwidth. I'm going to enter this meme here for those that are watching me do this walk, and I want to again uplift that. Where am I?
Oh, okay. I took a new path, y'.
[00:07:38] Speaker D: All.
[00:07:39] Speaker C: So I am shocked at the output.
Oh, what was I saying? Jesus, Let me take a water break. Oh, I know. It's talking about how my brain works. This is one of those examples of how sometimes I lose track. I think this a sign right here.
[00:07:56] Speaker D: To go to the swing, since it's right over there.
And then walk back. Yeah. Cause I done dropped this again.
[00:08:04] Speaker C: Jesus.
[00:08:04] Speaker D: And then having this weighted vest on.
[00:08:06] Speaker C: Who child, which go on my Amazon link and get the vest.
[00:08:13] Speaker D: Get the vest.
[00:08:14] Speaker C: Whew. Child. All right. So I had to learn about my brain.
Sometimes I'll be standing there, it'd be quiet, and then next thing you know. You ever seen the spongebob episode where he got the techno music and the jellyfish just dancing?
I relate to that episode, because sometimes that music, it might not be that exact tune, pops up in my head, and I'm just moving my head and just bouncing to the music. And ain't no music playing, at least not out loud. And then someone be like, bianca.
[00:08:50] Speaker D: I'd be like, huh?
[00:08:51] Speaker C: I'd be in a completely different world. And the more that you pick up on these things about you, the more that you can be empowered, because in some of these cases, only you are gonna know the answer. My birthday's tomorrow, and I'm really, really excited about that. I'll be turning 36, and I was having a conversation with one of my coaching clients.
[00:09:16] Speaker D: All right, let me pause my watch here.
My workout. All right, we made it 1.59 miles before we got to the swing, so that's good. Yeah, I like how light this is. This feels good to my spirit. So I was talking to one of my coaching clients, and they asked how I felt as my birthday was approaching, particularly with everything going on again. I haven't Did a deep dive as it relates to my journey in Peru and then leaving Peru due to a death in the family and then coming back and then was not allowed entry back into Peru's borders while my stuff is still there.
Okay.
[00:09:56] Speaker C: So I told my coaching client, I.
[00:09:59] Speaker D: Was like, you know, when I reflected on it, it made me feel like I wasn't far enough. Like I wasn't far along in my journey. I felt like I wasn't far along. I felt like I should be further in my journey. I felt like I should be accomplishing way more than what I'm currently accomplishing and not to discredit my accolades and my talents and all of that. Very much educated on paper, very much having access to opportunities, very much an entrepreneur and have been a full time content creator and business owner for over 10 years. I am telling you I'm blessed and grateful. However, comma, like, I still live at home. That bothers me because of the narratives that come with you still living at home. And my coaching client said something to me that really stuck with me and she said, you know, you are free to live everywhere.
[00:10:57] Speaker C: And when she said that, you know.
[00:10:59] Speaker D: It hit different because she's right.
[00:11:01] Speaker C: You know, like, I'm grateful that my family allows me to have my stuff there.
[00:11:07] Speaker D: I do have the freedom to travel and to live wherever. Just like in February, I will be moving to Colombia and I'm excited because I'll be moving to a different part of Colombia that I really, really enjoyed, but only stayed there for about a week.
And that is Santa Marta. So February 15th, I'll be moving to Santa Marta, Colombia. And I'm really, really excited about that and I just really look forward to this journey that I am on for sure. So, yeah, I'm again grateful that I could come back to my family's house, that I'm not paying a huge expense of rent.
[00:11:54] Speaker C: So I really had to change my.
[00:11:55] Speaker D: Way of thinking when I was reflecting on me turning 36 tomorrow and talking to myself with kindness, as I was saying that I should be doing more and I should have more and I should be in this particular situation, although God has placed me in the exact situation that I need to be in now. And I want to just uplift that to you as again, using my transparency, using my testimony and using my story to change the world, that you might be thinking that you need to be somewhere else than where God has placed you. And I would say be grateful and stand firm in where you are, but also know that wherever God is going to take you God will take you and it might not look like what you want it to look like, but you will get there, I promise you. And when I look back and I think about the things that I've said that I've wanted, always being a digital nomad, this is exactly what works best for me. I'm glad that I moved back home. I wouldn't have been able to be.
[00:13:01] Speaker C: A caretaker of my father when he.
[00:13:04] Speaker D: Was dealing with cancer if I didn't move back home, if I didn't have to go through that traumatic experience where I'm still learning to trust and to be vulnerable and open up in certain aspects of my life. I am just very grateful that I'm able to continue to just be unapologetically me. So let me wrap this up so that I could get in the shower, get cleaned up and get back to my office, because it's very clear that folks need me right now in this moment. Okay? But first I'm going to spend the time for me. Okay? Gave them the right deadline and timeline as it relates to my follow back period because I gotta take care of me. And I want to just remind y' all to make sure that you set boundaries for your time because people will ask you for things and you'll think that, hey, I need to do this immediately or urgently. No, just set the terms of when you can do it and follow through on that. Because, yeah, you got to take care of you. And I'm making sure that I do that with more fidelity and intention. So I want to close you out with saying that. As I'm reflecting, getting ready to turn 36, I had to reflect on some hard truths and I had to unlearn some things that were harmful to my mental health. And that is that I needed to be further along on my journey than where God has placed me. Or saying to myself that I'm not doing enough when I am actually doing enough.
And you have to talk kinder to yourself. This is a reminder to me as I'm saying it out loud and a reminder to you to be kinder to yourself as you're reflecting and you're talking with things that other people might not hear. My intrusive thoughts are wild and like, that's a whole story time and hell, a podcast in itself of just the intrusive thoughts and intrusive noises and the things that happen in my brain.
[00:15:01] Speaker C: And I don't know if any of.
[00:15:02] Speaker D: You have experienced that, but if you have, I would love to know what that looks like. Because as I was Explaining with the spongebob techno bounce music with a jellyfish movement. Like, I also see the meme where spongebob is in the brain space and is trying to find stuff, and then there's fire and chaos everywhere.
[00:15:27] Speaker A: What's his name?
[00:15:27] Speaker B: I got nothing on a name. Come on, baby. What's the name?
[00:15:35] Speaker A: We threw out his name.
[00:15:41] Speaker D: Like, I see all of those things. And if you don't know, my love for SpongeBob is so real. I love that cartoon.
And, yeah, I love me some spongebob. And I'm really, really sad that my favorite blanket that I've had since summer was a little girl is missing in Peru. At the airport.
I reached out to the airport and I reached out to Delta Airlines about my blanket, and they told me that they haven't found it, but.
All right. I am sending you love, light, and peace today. I hope that you make today amazing. I hope that you go out there and you achieve everything that you've set your mind to.
I hope that everything aligns in the way that it should. And talk kinder to yourself, y'. All. Like I said yesterday on the last episode of the Power Walk, you are one of one. You are one of a kind. There is no one like you, and you need to remember that, okay? So go out there and operate in your brilliance and your genius and your giftings and just do it. This is your year. This is 2026. So make today amazing. Until next time.
[00:16:50] Speaker C: Peace.
Okay, so I'm walking up, and I see the hood of my car up and my window's down, and it looks like my dad is doing some things to my car. And that makes me excited. Cause what you doing to my car, sir? What you doing? I hope putting gas in it.
[00:17:10] Speaker A: We walk with freedom.
We walk with a feel, man.
We walk with trouble. True.
With purpose.
[00:17:27] Speaker B: Lace up, speak up.
[00:17:28] Speaker C: Show up.
