[00:00:00] Speaker A: Take a walk with Bianca through the fire, through the faith. We walk with freedom, we walk with fulfillment.
We walk with truth.
We walk with purpose, and we walk with seats.
[00:00:21] Speaker B: Good morning, Happy Tuesday, and welcome to the power walk. You know what time it is? Happy Tuesday, y'.
[00:00:30] Speaker A: All.
[00:00:30] Speaker B: Oh, my gosh. I went to the gym. I did some cardio, I did some weights, and I feel really, really good. And I'm really excited to get back into the motion of things. We have goals to meet, y'.
[00:00:44] Speaker A: All.
[00:00:44] Speaker B: We have goals. And I am here to just say that if you're on the journey to lose weight, to be stronger, to be healthier, come join us and move your body and be intentional with what has your time, your energy, and ultimately your peace. When I tell you there's so much that's going on in the world and we have to be intentional and of course, in our life, with everything going on, life is life in and people are people in. But I am telling you, it's really, really important that we are aware of what's happening, particularly because of the midterms. I have been on the Internet talking about the importance of voting and knowing the systems that are also upholding this. And so I asked this question a year ago, and I'm going to ask it because I still would like an answer. Maybe someone can help. If we follow the money and we see that there's a profit in the problem, regardless of how you vote, will the problem still exist?
I don't know. Sound off in the comments. You let me know. Because when we look at.
Let's just look at media for a moment. Okay. Larry Ellison now owns all of these networks. Let me put it up on the screen here. I'll also put a receipt in the comments so that you could see the receipt for yourself.
So Larry owns all of this media, one person, and we're supposed to believe that there's going to be no corruption and what is played and what is shown to the people.
We've already seen instances where things have been modified and altered or not disclosed or not shared. So I got questions, you got questions. I don't know, but we need to talk about it, right?
And I struggle with. America is a democracy. Oh, look at this yellow butterfly. And it is so gorgeous. I wish I would be able to turn the camera for y' all to see it, but the way that it's moving. No, but let me turn on my meta glasses and maybe you'll be able to catch it. Like, the butterfly is absolutely gorgeous.
It's such a reminder to keep going. I have been saying the same things for so long today.
Leon County Schools, the school district that's in the capital of Florida, the great state of Florida, the education state, they are trying to go to the bank to get a loan so that they can meet payroll due to the financial hardship of that school district, which is in the capital of the state of Florida.
I have just been wondering, when is enough enough?
When are people going to be held accountable? When are we going to be doing things with integrity? Because the misallocation, the misappropriation and outright stealing of funds is wild. You have folks in the Panhandle that are dealing with the aftermath of the hurricane. You have a governor that refuses to say the proper name of the hurricane, although they said it in 2020.
And then you also have a governor that used those emergency resources to build Alligator Alcatraz. The people are still trying to fight to get some of those invoices paid now. And who do we hold accountable? I don't know.
Hope. Florida. Another situation. You literally have Desantis appointed judges that are now expunging the whole Florida scandal. As if the receipts ain't already there. As if the grand jury didn't say that they misappropriated money. And because of the people who they talked to, which they didn't talk to all people.
That's interesting how you do an investigation and not talk to all parties. But then they said that they couldn't conclude who was ultimately responsible. But you know who was responsible, Ashley Moody. So I hope that you be intentional down your ballot and vote for Angie Nixon. I struggle talking about Florida politics sometimes because it's like, do y' all hear me? Are y' all listening? Our children deserve better. And let me not say, are you listening? Because there's actually thousands of y' all that listen to my podcast, that subscribe to my newsletter, that view my. My website and my blogs. And so thank you. I know that I'm not just doing this and no one is paying attention. Clearly, people are paying attention. And clearly people are taking action based on the things that I'm reporting and saying. Speaking of which, let me go on a side tangent really quick.
So, as you know, I have been investigating Hillsborough County Public Schools, in particular, the Office of Professional Standards. It's been many years where I've been highlighting that there are discrepancies as it relates to people's cases and how they get handled by Kelly King. And so my question is to Kelly King and to district staff. Is this how the policy is supposed to be? Handled because there were things that were documented before it came across my desk. And we're asking the same questions that went across your desk before it came across my desk. You see? So there are some people that be like, well, Bianca, why are you talking about this? Well, because it went to the Office of Professional Standards and it wasn't addressed. And the person is still advocating to get justice. And so now I got involved because they reached out to me. Most of these people reach out to me. I follow up and I ask questions and then I ask for public records. Speaking of which, Hillsborough County Public Schools, I submitted a public records request regarding Newsom and Jefferson. I am still waiting on the receipts I am still waiting on the receipts of the investigation of the reading team at Newsom where there was a recording that was recorded in the classroom of some activity that was happening in the classroom. In addition, as it relates to the race relations, I didn't close the case and glad that I didn't, because there was a new piece of evidence that came across my desk. Now, I'mma redact his face and his jersey number, but this is a football player from Tampa Bay Tech that posted on TikTok about the language and what was being shared when they played against Newsom High School.
Okay? This is what the children are saying on the Internet. Okay? So I seen it and I want to report on it. And again, again, I'm not here to out the children that are posting publicly on the Internet, but I do want to amplify what is being said in this clip because it goes back to what we were talking about, the race relations. Okay? Now, there have been fights that I've been seeing breaking out on the football fields. You have parents that are literally betting and gambling on their children as they're playing for these plastic trophies, y'. All. I am telling you, as a community, I'm talking to my community.
We have to do better.
We have to do better. Absolutely. When we say we need to protect our children and we need to do what's best for children. Gambling on your children ain't gonna do it. Especially if you could use that money that you gambling on your child to put them in tutoring. We have children on the football field that are in middle that are reading at an elementary school level, and we have children that are playing in high school that are barely making middle school grade level.
I can't make this up. I am telling you the facts. There are receipts that back this up. And I've been studying this for quite some time going back to the School to prison pipeline, because that's very important to talk about.
Y' all so church mouse quiet about all the juveniles that's been moved and transported around here in the state, state of Florida.
All of these children that are in foster care and they're breaking out of their foster care environments because it's not safe. And then we have all of these missing children. And then you have the attorney general having these press conferences saying that they have rescued over 100 children and only 2,3,5 people are arrested for all these children that are missing.
[00:09:50] Speaker A: Hello.
[00:09:51] Speaker B: I am going to recalibrate and reset because I get emotional as I talk about some of these topics because I just wonder like, when is enough enough?
When are we truly going to advocate for our children? When are we truly going to say that we're going to do what's best for kids?
I mean, just a moment ago I shared with you that the capital of Florida, Tallahassee, Leon county schools in the education state has to go to the bank to get a loan to meet payroll so that they could pay their staff because they're dealing with hardship. Meanwhile, we have some state leaders that are bragging, boasting about Florida having one of the top economies in the world, beating Australia and Mexico. So if you don't see where the priority of our children are, follow the money and you'll see. And educators have been blowing the whistle about this for so long. Being paid 50th in the nation.
Do we really care about children? I don't know. I just.
Over 150 children missing, recovered and only three people arrested.
No follow ups and updates as it relates to that wild work while work money that was dedicated to a Medicaid settlement ended up being misappropriated. According to the grand jury, fighting ballot initiatives, political ballot initiatives that the people wanted to put on the ballot and money was misappropriated to fight it when it should have went to our vulnerable children. What do you do with that? So when people are like, I don't do politics, and I've said this before and I will say it again, politics is doing you.
Whether you are an active participant or not, it's important that you are intentional down the ballot. Okay? I have worked on some amazing projects for some amazing candidates and some amazing caucuses that are advocating for these candidates. I am telling you, please, please, please, please, please, let's have these conversations. And the last conversation that I'm going to have on this podcast has been the debate for governor against David Jolley and Byron Donalds. We have an opportunity to elect the first black governor in the state of Florida.
And we shouldn't.
If we're going to go policy by policy, let's do that. Let's talk about the policy.
There are several policies recently that Byron has voted for that does not help our community.
And so there's conversations of, well, David Jolly was a Republican. Well, Byron Donalds was a Democrat. Democrat.
They both have switched sides, but the question is, what side are they on? Now today we have to be very mindful with what we say and how we say it when we are educating folks. As someone who's been closely adjacent to politics, I have seen many different sides. I have seen the side of working with a candidate that wants to do right, that wants to do its best. I have seen candidates that will run just to say that they did. And ultimately because they have a nonprofit, they'll be able to transfer that money to their nonprofit or church.
I have seen candidates that are awful, that are ego driven, that is all for self and really don't care about anybody else but them and climbing the political ladder, whatever that might look like.
And I've also seen how there's a profit and a problem again, so not really sure how do you fix it unless we address the profit and the problem and the folks that can make those changes intentionally chooses not to, or the people who have control of all the things and they're not being held accountable to all of the things that they can control. At the end of the day, folks, we have to be very, very intentional with how we move forward. And like I said, November 3rd is a very, very important date. And outside of November 3rd, also, because there's a profit in the problem. Just because November 3rd comes and goes, it's not changing all these systems that are not sustainable either.
And we have to have these radical conversations about it and foster radical honesty as it relates to what's going on here and who ultimately has control. With that being said, I am sending y' all love, light and peace as you navigate this day and this week.
I encourage you to move your body, to have joy, to find your freedom and fulfillment wherever you are.
Because life is life and people are people and but God, God, it's still God. And I'm grateful to still be here to provide this message and testimony.
But folks, it's a lot going on and the question that I will continue to ask is where do we draw the line and when is enough enough?
So, yeah, until next time, peace.
[00:15:59] Speaker A: Up, speak up, show up.
