[00:00:16] It is a lot going on out here in these streets, and I hope that you buckled up and you strapped in and you ready for this, because enough is enough. Yesterday, I saw the reports that the Supreme Court is allowing Donald Trump to go ahead and dismantle the Department of Education.
[00:00:32] And you had some people like, oh, my gosh, I didn't know that this was gonna happen.
[00:00:39] Meanwhile, there was a whole document before he was elected that talked about this very same plan of what was going to happen. So I don't understand it. And you have individuals that are like, I regret my decision. Like I said in the last episode, save it. Nobody wants to hear it. Save it.
[00:00:56] So praying for those educators in the Department of Education, but also to the different school districts that are now suing to get access to federal money, that poof, gone, disappeared. Where is that money going? Who knows? But it's not going to the schools, and school's about to start. It's, it's, it's sad.
[00:01:18] Like, it's.
[00:01:19] You. You can't. You can't make it up. I was so angered yesterday, so angered yesterday at all that's happening. And again, you got people on the Internet that are like, I regret my decision. And there are some folks that actually don't regret it at all. But I see that there's people putting blowtorches lighting up. They m a g a hat.
[00:01:46] Well, if you need a new hat, come on to iamsnitching.com snitchwithus.org makesnitchinggreatagain.com all of these places here where you can get your MSGA outfit in, in apparel, because we need some whistleblowers and some snitches out here, okay?
[00:02:08] Because what the hell? As the kids will say, what the helly. What the helion say, what the hell? What is happening?
[00:02:20] It just doesn't make sense.
[00:02:22] But does it, though?
[00:02:25] The question that I want you to reflect on is what is happening now that is different from the document that was published before the election? That's just my question for you to reflect on, because I'm just trying to figure out the difference. What. What is the difference in the document than what's happening right now? I don't know about you, but it looked like a blueprint.
[00:02:50] Going back to, we can't have selective outrage and participation when it comes to these type of matters.
[00:02:58] We can't.
[00:03:00] The selective outrage and participation and the performative politics. Child, please. None of this is okay. None of this is right. You got both sides fundraising off of inhumane conditions that people are forced to stay in.
[00:03:15] You got government officials, some of which are not being honest and transparent about what's happening.
[00:03:23] And there's back and forth about these Epstein files. Where's the receipts? Can. Can the receipts just come out either way in this whole situation?
[00:03:33] Somebody lying. And like I always say, people lie, receipts don't. So where are the receipts?
[00:03:39] Stop with all this back and forth.
[00:03:41] Drop the receipts. All the things that are happening. And the thing that I just keep going back to is the children didn't ask for this. The children didn't ask for this. They're going to be entering the school year with reduced resources and more underfunding when many of these school districts are already in a deficit. I've already talked about this before. I feel like I just continue to repeat myself and say the same things over and over again. You're going to have to figure out a plan that's going to work best for you and your family, because this right here is not sustainable. It's not. And the more that we lie to ourselves about it or we're in denial about doesn't help our children. It doesn't help our children at all. It's so sad to see. So sad to see the political games that are being played on the backs of our children. And please understand that I am talking about both sides of the aisle. I am talking Republican leaders, but also Democratic leaders. There are games that are being played on the backs of our children by both sides of the aisle. But this is why you should know these lawmakers. This is why you should facilitate these conversations. This is why you should go to their town halls. You should subscribe to their email list so you can see what communication that they're sending out. And speaking of, so where's the update on Ronald Deion Desantis and Casey DeSantis and the $10 million of Medicaid funding that was grossly misappropriated was the update on Hope Florida? Because you got these entities that are sending letters to the Orlando Sentinel telling them to cease and desist. And I'm just trying to figure out, well, ultimately, who. Who's going to hold them accountable? I understand now how people are like, look at all of these people doing X, Y and Z. Why do I need to follow the rules?
[00:05:35] Because they're able to do X, Y and Z and get away with it. Why do I need to follow the rules. Again, how are we telling our children that they need to follow the rules and be an upstanding citizen and not get in trouble? And this, this, this, this, and this.
[00:05:54] And the President of the United states has over 34 felonies. When we talk about it, people are like, I don't want to do that politics stuff. I don't want to do that politics stuff. Because there's a lot that's going on around here and with the infusion of AI, some people don't know the difference between what's AI or not. And that's a very dangerous place to be in, not knowing what's true and not true and how fast paced this Internet is. It's scary to think all the damage that could happen in a matter of moments just because someone decides to lie on the Internet. Speaking of lies on the Internet, the truth is not slander and if you are protecting folks that are harming folks, then you're just as complicit. So I truly hope and pray that folks can be intentional out here because again, our children didn't ask to be here. They deserve better. And ultimately this fight and this advocacy is for them. 2026 is going to be such a spicy.
[00:09:47] Hear me when I say it's going to be such a spicy political season. Why? Because you're going to hear some talking points about how we need to make our housing affordable and we need to make sure that our healthcare is accessible and all of these things are true, but the people that are saying it have no power. You see, I'm talking about the state of Florida. That's where my experience lies. The Democratic leaders are running on these same tire talking points. And I don't know if these Democratic leaders are going to even live long enough to even see it happen.
[00:10:25] Why?
[00:10:26] Look who's been leading the state and who has been leading the state since I believe 1999.
[00:10:36] I was nine years old.
[00:10:38] I'm 35.
[00:10:40] These Republican leaders have had control of the state since 1999. Let me do a fact check here, let me post a receipt here because I'm not in front of my computer.
[00:10:55] So the Republican leaders that say the Democrats are responsible for X, Y and Z, stop lying to these people is performative politics and games that are being played on both sides of the aisle. Please don't get me wrong, but the Republican Party seems to be associated and people want to be associated with wealth, that if I'm a Republican that means I'm wealthy and that I have a lot of money and that if I'm a Democrat that means that I just want everyone to have access to things when they didn't work for it.
[00:11:33] These are the narratives, y'. All. This is the messaging. The purpose of this Power Walk is to hold me accountable, to make sure that I'm moving my body, but also to talk to you about the things that are important to me. I'm in the process of filing for bankruptcy and that is something that is scary and but the man who is running the country has filed several of them so I don't have any shame anymore as it relates to it. But it is a strategy to get me from under these legal obligations and some of which it was me holding the bag for others as they were living out their dreams that I was financing. And I'll be documenting this journey as I go through this process because the cost of living continues to rise and I say that with privilege, being in a different country currently. But if you have the opportunity to explore different countries and see the way that they're living versus the way that you've been conditioned to live, you'll change your life. Me deciding to leave and to start a new life and chapter in Belize after divorce changed my life and becoming a digital nomad and rebuilding my businesses and creating and co creating a wildly joyful life. I thank God for it. And it's had its ups and downs and particularly when we're talking about the medical system. I asked my primary care physician for a referral for UF Health, which was closer than driving all the way to Tampa after my insurance said that they're no longer covering Tampa because it's now out of network.
[00:14:00] UF Health Shands in Gainesville is also out of network and I've yet to receive any type of follow up as it relates to any cardiology team in Tallahassee, which is my current home base, who is monitoring my pacemaker as much as I was paying for health care.
[00:14:19] And you mean to tell me that my previous care team that saved my life in Tampa can't provide service to me and a hospital network that has a better infrastructure than Tallahassee can't provide service to me and I have yet to hear back from the folks in Tallahassee? It makes you want to give up.
[00:14:40] Truly, I have a pacemaker with no cardiology team and who is looking at my data. Like I said, it just feels really demoralizing that getting proper healthcare is like a unicorn. I'm sending you love, light and peace as you are on your mission today or any day that you listen to this Power Walk podcast and truly pray for your girl. Man, there's a lot of changes and things that are happening to me and for me and I'm grateful for my village, I'm grateful for my support system and to you listening to this and it means the world to me that you've taken time out of your day.
