[00:00:00] Speaker A: Good morning, Happy Thursday and welcome to the power walk. You know what time it is? Okay.
Today is an amazing day.
I just want to give a shout out to the nonprofit Period Zero.
This nonprofit is out here transforming education and giving our our students critical skills in order to navigate the changes of the workspace and environment. And I'm so grateful to serve on this board and to be the chief of strategy under the leadership of Dr. Lewis. I do want to insert this picture here and to share this story. Dr. Lewis was teaching at Hillsborough High School and I had an opportunity to come to her class and show her students how to use Canva and being able to use Canva to generate money and how they can create things for not only just themselves, but for the folks that need it.
And it was great. Had a great opportunity to talk and interact with the students. I came to the school with my MSGA apparel.
If you don't know what that is, it's make snitching great again. MSGA baby. Okay.
And to be able to speak life into our children, telling them that I've been able to make thousands of dollars online and how they can do it too, was inspiring to them, but also for me to keep going and just very grateful for her.
At that time we met, she told me about the concept of Period Zero. She told me that this was something that was on her heart and something that she wanted to do.
And fast forward several years later to see it come to fruition, to see the impact that is being made and a global impact at that. I just am so grateful and thankful for to be a part of it and I'm proud of her for doing it. And y' all need to check us out at Period Zero. AI okay.
Your girl did the website, the logo, and there's a whole bunch more that I'm helping with as far as the strategy piece of it. And again, I'm just very grateful and thankful to serve on the board, to use my talents to help our students globally. As the workforce is changing and so is technology, there are some people that I'm connected with in the tech space and because of that I have understanding and knowledge that there are some tech companies that are doing mass layoffs and they are changing and pivoting on their business strategy. Where you had folks that were working on the engineering and the technical side of things that had a six figure salary and now is trying to figure out where they're going to work, how are they going to provide for their family. There's a lot of things that are Changing and pivoting in the tech space and for those of you that are impacted by that, I send you my love, I send you light and I send you peace. As you navigate and pivot in finding a position for you, whether you created yourself or you find another company that has the availability for your talents and giftings. As I'm doing my power walk, I feel so good to move my body.
I feel so loved. I feel so supported. And although things could be different, still rebuilding after major life transitions and and legal dispute that has been a multi year process. When it comes to getting a trademark and protecting your intellectual property and having to fight for your name and ultimately winning, I'm the girl to talk to. Particularly because the only difference between the names is three letters, I N G, which by the way, I just want to continue to uplift that. In all of this.
Shawna Brown has still continued to infringe on our intellectual property.
She has continued to not have any regard for the things that she has done to people by lying and misrepresenting facts. Receipts.
Which is why I'm going to be opening the door for Receipt University.
There's a lot of people that say, I got the receipts, I got the receipts. And then when you actually analyze what they got, it's not receipts. In fact, there are levels to receipts. But before we go to Receipt University, the folks that want a podcast, I'm calling on you. Okay, so originally I said that I had eight slots. Well, now that's reduced to seven.
I have seven slots left.
And this is for people who want to create a podcast by the end of the year.
It's a eight week course.
We meet every week and we tackle each chapter in the ebook.
Now, if you want to do it yourself, buy the ebook. You can literally set this up in 30 days if you really want to. I have seven slots left and I want you to come join. It's going to be a great time. Tomorrow, come chat with me because I'll be doing a presentation on sex tortion and how you can protect your children online. It is something that is happening. I have highlighted that on my last episode and I'm going to continue to uplift parents and caregivers. Please be intentional with what your children have access to, who they're talking to, what apps that they have on their phone and ultimately have conversations about digital safety because there are folks that are asking for these type of pictures and they'll send them thinking that they're sending it to someone else.
And in the story that I shared in the last episode, it was a teenage boy in middle school that was going after his other male students, asking for inappropriate pictures.
And they thought that they were talking to a woman. They thought that they were talking to a girl.
And here we are.
So it took several months for the police and, and the Federal Bureau of Investigations to investigate, to figure out who was ultimately behind it. And I just don't want that to be your child.
I don't want that to happen to you.
So we need to talk about it, talk about best practices, conversation starters to have and the overall data that is wild to see.
But it's happening, it's real. And we need to protect our children.
And this has been my life's work and mission.
And while there are legislation that's out here that's very performative as it relates to the safety of our children online, we as the people have to be very intentional with that and making decisions that are going to be best for our children. I hope that you have an amazing day and that you shine your light.
I am proud of you. I posted today saying that I'm proud of you for keep moving forward, even when life be life, and sometimes it means that is really, really hard. I'm rooting for you. Keep going.
Sending you love, sending you light, and sending you peace. And until next time.
[00:08:23] Speaker B: This ain't just a podcast. It's a protest on pavement.
Unfiltered, unbothered, and unapologetically with your host, Bianca. And this is the power walk.
Now. Walk with me.
People lie, receive receipt.
People, I receive.
